In November 1994, two men George McAleer of Ferguson Heritage and John Hanlon of Cooley Vintage festival fame got together to plan a working demonstration of vintage Ferguson tractors and implements at the Cooley Rally in August 1995. As time and talks went on, interest grew, and the prospect of a working demonstration became a world record attempt dawned on the organisers.
Set in the magnificent surroundings of Cooley peninsula this vidoe traces the difficult path embarked upon, throuh uncertainty and high emotion, to the most exciting climax on a day, never to be forgotten, wherever vintage tractor enthusiasts gather.
We offer our grateful thanks to all those who worked together, to make this historic day a resounding success especially the owners of the 356 Ferguson tractors of which 322 took part in this world record making achievement including: Ferguson Brown ... Ford Ferguson ... TE 20 ... FE 35 and MF 65. Grand total of 322 in all!
